RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Reefwatch provides technical guidance, logistic support and equipment for underwater research to Marine Biology students seeking field Research experience. Reefwatch also encourages volunteer participation on its ongoing projects.

 SUPPORTED STUDENT/ DOCTORAL RESEARCH

  1. Ph. D. thesis “Spatio-Temporal Changes in Coral Community Structure in M.G. Marine National Park , Andaman Islands” submitted to the Department of Environment Science, University of Pune in March, 2003. (Sarang Kulkarni)

  2. PhD thesis “Pattern and Processes of Reef Recovery and Human Resource use in the Lakshadweep Islands ” submitted to the School of Tropical Environment studies and Geography, James Cook University , Australia in August, 2004. (Rohan Arthur)

  3. Vardhan Patankar is registered for a PhD program at Madurai Kamaraj University since May 2007 and studying the Coral Reef Communities of the Nicobar Group of Islands.

  4. Elrika D’souza is registered for a PhD program at Madurai Kamaraj University since May 2007 and studying the Sea grass ecosystem with special emphasis on Status and Distribution of the Dugong dugon of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
